It’s great to be back in warm Cape Town after my Russian adventure! It was a fascinating trip and we hope to be welcoming more Russian divers to Cape Town in the next year, with a couple of confirmed groups already.
I have to say some special Thank-You’s to people who made it all possible. Firstly, thanks to Jean Tresfon for his generosity in letting me use some of his excellent Cape Town diving images (see more of his work on the walls of our dive centre or on www.underwaterimages.co.za) which really attracted people to our stand.
Thank you also to Carel van der Colff who let me use his images for our slideshow we had running as well. Thanks also to Stephen Bardwell of Salty Print for rushing the printing of posters and banners through for me just in time. Everything worked perfectly, Steve! And special thanks to Viktoria Ivanova who made all the accommodation and booking arrangements and was such a huge help on the show with absolutely everything. Thanks also for being a fantastic tour guide to Moscow after the show and for giving me glimpse into Russian culture and life. Much appreciated, Vik!
There has been a lot of SE while I have been away, with a couple of days of sublime Atlantic diving in the mix. This weekend we have some NW coming through for a change and with smallish SW swell, we anticipate very nice False Bay in contrast to last weekend.
