Last weekend turned out to be absolutely perfect – calm as a mirror and fantastic viz on all the dives. It’s been great seeing all the photos of clean-water again! This weekend we have some serious swell tracking towards the peninsula, mainly focussed on Saturday. We will launch on Friday and Sunday this weekend. The water is still super-clean, so fingers crossed.
I forgot to mention OMSAC’s event last week, but there is still time to assemble a team for the fund-raising and shark awareness event scheduled for this weekend. Please get in touch with the organisers at www.omsac.co.za/events/finathon . Pisces Divers will be assisting with ferrying contestants around and joining in the fun, so we look forward to seeing you down there!

The guys witnessed a strange event last weekend on the early launch on Sunday when they came upon a seal feeding on a dead 2m Sevengill cowshark off Boat Rock. The seal was very possessive over its “catch” but they approached with the boat and Carel snapped some shots. See more at https://www.facebook.com/piscesdiversct . There was no sign of injury on the shark, but the seal had taken several bites around the sharks gills.
