We are enjoying a merciful break from the wind at the moment – The Bay is lovely and calm this morning and we are not expecting over 12 knots of wind the whole weekend. The vis has been around 6m and the temperature around 16/17 degrees. The Seven gills have been spotted for the last two weeks or so and we are so happy to see them again, after an absence of nearly seven months. Yesterday we had four sharks on the dive and prior to that one or two, so let’s cross fingers the numbers are picking up again. On the subject of sharks, we are heading out to the deep again on Monday 19th for a pelagic shark trip. On our last trip out we had two Mako’s around the boat – the one in the photo below was only about 800mm long!
Other than that we have been training up a storm: Ryan, Davi and Mikhail have been rotating pool times to keep everyone happy. On further education, we have a Rescue/EFR and Nitrox course coming up – just give a shout to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join.
Tomorrow is Day of Reconciliation, which means your non-diving spouse needs to reconcile themselves to the fact that you are going diving regardless! Looking forward to seeing you! There is also a fantastic festive season special from Scubapro on dive computers and regulators – see the poster at the end of this mail.
